Our extracurricular STEM clubs give students hands-on opportunities to explore, create, and collaborate beyond the curriculum. Open to all year groups, these clubs help develop real-world skills in engineering, sustainability, design, and problem-solving — all while having fun, building confidence, and discovering new passions. Whether it's racing a self-built electric car or learning to repair broken tech, students are encouraged to think differently and work as a team.
Our after-school Greenpower Kit Car Club is part of the national Greenpower Education Trust initiative. Students design, build, test, and race an electric kit car, working as a team to solve engineering challenges and compete in real Greenpower F24 races against schools from across the UK. It’s a brilliant opportunity to experience applied STEM, develop leadership and technical skills, and connect with industry mentors — all in the spirit of sustainability and innovation.
Team Repair is our student-led lunchtime club where broken electronics get a second life. Partnered with the national Team Repair UK initiative, this club teaches practical repair and diagnostic skills while encouraging environmental responsibility. Students work together to investigate faults, use real tools, and gain the satisfaction of fixing items that would otherwise be thrown away — all while building confidence and curiosity around how technology works.
A creative and sustainable textiles club where students learn to sew, upcycle, and bring their design ideas to life. From customising clothes to exploring the science of materials, this club is all about creativity, craftsmanship, and conscious making.
