KIT CAR CLUB

Welcome to the exciting world of our STEM Greenpower Kit Car Club!

Our current STEM Club was set up in October 2022 following securing funding from Dudgeon Community Fund to buy an electric Greenpower kit car. The 14 students had to apply in writing to join the club as we wanted a mix of year groups, abilities and genders. Following the success of this club, we secured additional money via Norfolk Community Foundation and The JP Blanch Fund to buy a second kit car and are now running 2 teams of 14 students. The first team are exploring how to improve the performance of the existing car and offering support to the new team who are building the second car. This wouldn’t be possible without the support of Kieron Scillitoe & Gavin Bilby from Scillitoe Bros, a local garage, who Mrs Moffat approached for help and who have been onboard ever since!
As we struggle for space at APHS for the students to work on the cars, Scillitoe Bros have even made a designated space at their premises for the new team to work in safely!
Our STEM Club takes place every week on a Thursday after school 3-4pm throughout the school year.
