In Year 8, the whole cohort participates in the RAF Marham Construction Challenge — a high-energy event where students work in teams to solve practical engineering problems using real construction tools and materials, guided by RAF STEM ambassadors.
In addition, selected high-performing students (typically 12 G&T pupils) represent APHS in the IET Faraday Challenge Day, a prestigious national competition run by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), where students design solutions to real engineering problems.
Proud to report that one of our teams won this year's challenge! 🤩 Massive thanks to Vannessa Nash and Rebecca Sussex @STEMPOINT for running such a successful and engaging event and for STEM Ambassador Ian James for volunteering to support. Already applied for next year!
