We are incredibly grateful to all the organisations and individuals who have supported our Greenpower Kit Car Club since it started in 2022. Their generosity has enabled our students to experience hands-on engineering, teamwork, and the excitement of competing in real races. Without them, our journey simply wouldn’t be possible.
Dudgeon and Sheringham Shoal Community Funds (operated by Equinor and via Norfolk Community Foundation) supported the purchase of our first Greenpower F24 kit car in 2022 and our Goblin (G2) kit car in 2024, enabling both secondary and primary students to join our club. They also funded the conversion of our site hut into our dedicated ‘STEM Shed’, giving us a permanent space at school to design, build, and maintain our cars. In addition, Dudgeon generously supported our trip to the International Final at Goodwood Motor Circuit in October 2024, giving our members the exciting opportunity to compete at this prestigious event for the very first time.
The JP Blanch Fund (via Norfolk Community Foundation) provided the money to purchase of our second F24 kit car in 2023, expanding our club to include more students from KS4 interested in engineering.
Since 2023, Kieron Scillitoe and Scillitoe Bros Garage have been an extraordinary support to our STEM Club. From hands-on mentoring every week and providing a dedicated workspace, to funding transport, hosting work experience, and even towing our kit cars in local parades, Kieron has gone above and beyond to inspire and enable our students. His generosity, expertise, and commitment have helped our club grow, compete nationally, and welcome both primary and secondary students into STEM.

Holkham Estate has been a valued supporter of our STEM Club, helping us to grow and thrive through both funding via the Holkham Charitable Foundation and through learning opportunities. Donations raised via the Wells Carnival have provided vital resources for our students, while visits from Lord Leicester in 2023 (when he even took one of our kit cars for a spin around the school hall!) and from Finance Director Luke Tyce in 2024, who was extremely impressed with our students, demonstrate Holkham’s genuine interest in our work.
A particular highlight came on Sunday 28th April 2024, when Lord Leicester kindly hosted our first ever time trials at Holkham Hall, giving our teams the opportunity to test and showcase their cars along The Avenue on the estate. We are especially grateful to Lucy Downing, Head of Marketing, and Sophie Denny, Events Operations Manager, for helping to make this event possible.
More recently, in 2025, we were delighted to receive further support from Farm Manager James Beamish, who allowed us to use the old airfield tracks at Egmere for additional time trials — continuing Holkham’s commitment to supporting hands-on STEM learning in our community.
Wells Carnival has supported our STEM Club every year since we began, through their community grants scheme – with funding then price-matched by the Holkham Estate Charitable Foundation. This generous backing has made a huge difference to what our students can achieve.
We have also proudly taken part in the Wells Carnival Parade for the last two years, showcasing our Greenpower cars with fantastic community support. In 2024, our float featured one F24 car and, with the help of Kieron Scillitoe and Gavin Bilby from Scillitoe Bros Garage (with Gavin dressed as The Stig!), we were towed around on a quad bike. In 2025, the Wells Sea Cadets kindly stepped in with their shiny new van, allowing us to parade all three cars for the first time – including our primary students in the Goblin car. On both occasions, our float won 2nd prize in the ‘Mostly Children’ category, a brilliant recognition for our young team.
We are very grateful for Wells Carnival’s ongoing support, which continues to celebrate our students’ achievements.
Bill Cleyndert & Company has proudly sponsored our STEM Club for two years, bringing Bill's passion for vintage vehicles and expert craftsmanship into our world. As leading British manufacturers of exquisite bespoke furniture, cabinetry, and specialist joinery, they’ve formed strong links with our school through Design & Technology. Our D&T students have toured their carpentry factory and design studio, gaining invaluable insight into high-end furniture making processes.
Bill Cleyndert & Company have also welcomed several of our former students into their apprenticeship scheme, further supporting the next generation of skilled makers. This year, we were delighted to support their annual staff party—held with a playful ‘Billverstone’ theme—by bringing our kit cars for staff and their children to enjoy. It was a fun and memorable way to celebrate our longstanding partnership and shared enthusiasm for creativity, craftsmanship and community!
Each year, our teams compete in Greenpower regional and national races, including the International Final at Goodwood Motor Circuit. Race entry alone costs £110 per car, not including transport, equipment, and materials to keep our cars competitive. As our club grows, so does the cost — but so do the opportunities for young engineers to shine.
If you are a local business or individual who would like to support the next generation of engineers, we’d love to hear from you. Your sponsorship could help cover race entry fees, equipment, and future expansion of the club. In return, we are happy to:
