In 2023, Alderman Peel High School proudly achieved the Gold STEM Clubs Quality Mark (SCQM), recognising our sustained, whole-school commitment to providing outstanding STEM opportunities for all learners. This nationally accredited award reflects the strength, innovation, and student-led ethos of our thriving STEM programme — both within and beyond the classroom.

In 2024, Mrs Moffat received the Excellence Award for Outstanding Industry Engagement from the Design & Technology Association for her exceptional work in building strong links between students and industry partners. Read the full story in the Eastern Daily Press.
In 2025, our long-standing industry mentor Kieron Scillitoe was also honoured with the Design & Technology Association Excellence Award for Outstanding Industry Partner Award, recognising his invaluable contributions to our STEM Kit Car Club.
In 2025, APHS was named the winner at the 2025 Education Business Awards in the STEM category, celebrating our innovation, inclusivity, and high-impact STEM initiatives across the curriculum.
Mrs Moffat was incredibly proud to be invited to contribute to the keynote speech for the Big DT Meet at Baysgarth School on July 11th — a national event hosted by STEM Learning that brings together Design & Technology educators from across the UK.
Mrs Moffat was asked to share her insights on leading innovative STEM practice in schools, with a focus on industry engagement, inclusive enrichment, and embedding sustainability. Her contribution highlighted the success of our Greenpower Kit Car Club, Team Repair programme, and student-led initiatives that have helped APHS achieve national recognition in STEM education.
